Almost there if you're looking to make a Dual Sport. Or go Super Motard. Keep it the way it is and enjoy the dirt.I am the 3rd adult owner of this 1999 Husaberg FE501E Enduro. Husabergs came standard with White Power Suspension, Brembo Brakes, QUALITY COMPONENTS and CONSTRUCTION. I've upgraded to a KEIHIN FCR "Pumper" Carburetor from a Yamaha YZ250F, great throttle response and bottom/mid-range without compromising any top end.Kick and automatic starter (e-start currently inop). Starts on the kick.The 1st two owners didn't ride it much and I bought it wanting to put it back to DUAL SPORT status. Hard to admit but, after too much invested and at almost 64, I've realized it's way out of my league. Would make a great Supermotard, DualSport or ...? Pierer Industries AG is owned by Stefan Pierer, who happens to be chief executive officer of KTM, which also happens to be the parent company of Husaberg. US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results
Thu, 28 Jul 2011The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .
Recall for 6,117 MY2011 KTM and Husaberg Off-road and Competition Models
Fri, 09 Sep 2011KTM and Husaberg are recalling about 6,117 off-road motorcycles due to a risk of cracked handlebar clamps. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the handlebar clamps on some off-road KTM and Husaberg models can develop cracks from normal use.
