Husaberg All description

Stage 2 hydraulic left hand rear brake (LHRB) kit

Provides an easily accessible, additional method of operating your rear brake whilst retaining full use of your standard rear brake pedal and clutch lever!

·        More control of the bike in almost all conditions

·        Increased confidence and ability on steep descents

·        Faster and safer in technical and extreme situations

·        Light and precise one or two finger operation

·        Always accessible - unlike a rear brake pedal

·        Superior feel - less locking up on slippery ground

·        Advantageous to all levels of rider ability

·        Easy to fit with full instructions

·        Finest quality components throughout

............

This Stage 2 kit also gives you the option, on bikes fitted with a Brembo clutch master cylinder assembly, to either run it conventionally or swap the lever functions over and use the Brembo unit as the rear brake whilst using the smaller supplied Hayes lever as the clutch.

This set up particularly suits bikes with a semi-automatic clutch fitted when a left hand rear brake is a virtual necessity in certain situations as the rear wheel does not lock up when the engine stalls in gear.

............

If you do not have a bike with a Brembo clutch lever assembly or have no wish to swap lever functions and just want to use the supplied Hayes lever for the rear brake please see the other listings in my eBay for the Stage 1 kits.

............

Off road riding often requires very precise use of the rear brake, remember a locked rear wheel in mud has almost no grip and can mean the difference between keeping the bike under control or crashing out - especially on extreme descents.

A rear brake pedal can only be used properly in a neutral riding position but on a dirt bike you'll be sliding right up to the fuel cap one second and hanging over the rear mudguard the next – not to mention the times when you have to put your right foot down to regain balance.

A left hand rear brake is always accessible – just like the front brake.

These are just a few examples, when you actually start riding with one you'll be amazed how much you use it and how little you use the pedal.

............

The super-compact master cylinder design allows you to mount the additional lever above or below your clutch for a totally personalised set up.

............

The Stage 2 kit comprises of the following components:

  • Left hand rear brake lever/master cylinder assembly
Very compact and multi-adjustable Hayes brake lever/master cylinder assembly allows a multitude of fitting options either above or below the existing clutch lever assembly. The reservoir capacity has been increased by means of a custom made stainless steel spacer plate.
  • Full specification motorcycle stainless braided brake and clutch lines with fittings
Smooth bore DuPont PTFE hosing with marine grade stainless braiding sealed in a tough clear protective covering. Stainless steel swivel unions allow perfect, twist-free alignment and the ability to dismantle or even change to other bikes as often as you like. All additional components necessary to fit the system.
  • An adaptor sleeve that converts the rear master cylinder to dual actuation
Custom made in corrosion resistant, high strength 6082 aluminium alloy, this sleeve simply screws into your standard rear brake master cylinder reservoir and transforms it into a dual actuation device allowing the rear brake to be operated by either the foot pedal or the hand lever.
  • A brake bleeding kit containing all the items you will need to bleed the system
Complete with syringe, hosing and all connections required to back bleed the system.

  • Detailed fitting instructions

............

Can be fitted to the following models that I know of:

KTM SX/XC & EXC most models 250 - 530cc (2006 - 2013)

Husaberg TE models 250 & 300cc (2011 - 2013)

Husqvarna TC & TE models 250 - 511cc (2009 - 2013)

Certain Sherco models - please email for details

Your bike must have the Brembo clutch master cylinder fitted to be suitable for this conversion.

The Magura clutch master cylinders fitted to some models use mineral oil and cannot be converted to brake levers.

Please see my Stage 1 kits for a suitable alternative.

If in any doubt please contact me to discuss

............

**** Please note ****

It should be noted that this kit requires a degree of mechanical understanding and aptitude to fit so any use is entirely at the owners own risk.
