The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Cool Cycles Ice Cream

Mon, 20 Apr 2009

John Gibson had a vision 15 years ago to sell ice cream from a motorcycle sidecar, inspired while running as he listening to motivational guru, Tony Robins. After years of experimenting with different bikes and setups, including using the Russian made Ural (he once owned a Ural dealership), Gibson, finally settled on the Honda 750 Shadow and the Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster. The Cool Cycles Ice Cream Company is open for business, the headquarters are located in Tacoma, WA where they will start selling franchises within a 100 mile radius, the Los Angeles area will be next and Las Vegas to follow.

Honda's latest Cub

Fri, 18 May 2012

Honda released their original C100 Super Cub way back in 1958 when other bikes at the time proved to be notoriously unreliable and difficult to ride. Since then, they have sold over 27 million C90s, with the step-through framed bike proving to be easy to ride and even easier to maintain. Looking like it's come straight from the film WALL-E, the new UNI-CUB might have two wheels but any similarity with a Honda C90 ends there.
