Honda XR tech info
Honda XR description
1995 Honda XR 250R in very great shape for its year. It seen low use over the years. I'd estimate there to be +- 250 miles of use. The bike runs great. Recently serviced- new oil and filter, spark plug, carburator cleaned and adjusted, new brake fluids front and rear. Tires I believe are original from 1995 no dry rot on them. Bike has two few small frame dents towards bottom frame). Tank and plastics in great shape very minor scratches/wear. Seat is in Nice shape. The answer handle bars and metal hand guards are the only aftermarket part on bike.
----------I installed a new honda oem honda headlight lens assembly and light bulb the old lens had a crack in it.

Someone is Takin' the Mick
Thu, 30 Sep 2010Pull out the slippers and plant yourself in front of a log fire and let Mick Grant talk you through his racing career. With a foreword from our Whit', the book details Granty's life from his Yorkshire roots through to all of his seven TT wins and the intense rivalry with Barry Sheene in the 1970s. Don't judge the book by it's cover, it's not a disaster like the out-of-focus oval-pistoned Honda NR500 but a good read.
The future. But we can't have it
Thu, 10 Nov 2011It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
475cc NS400R. Marquez and Spencer.
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Winter may be here but I seem to be as busier than ever, maybe the economy is finally turning around. At my last UK track day of the year I had some fun testing this little beauty. It’s a late eighties NS400 triple bored out to 475cc and it felt sweet as I zinged round the GP Arena track at Silverstone. Being stripped bare to reduce weight gives it a very respectable power to weight ratio which means it could live with 600s (on the twisty bits at least).
