Honda XR description

Up for Auction is my 1982 Honda XL 125 S, NOW WITH NO RESERVE! I have owned it for over 20 years and it was purchased new from the original owner who is an old, dear friend. The bike has never been titled and is missing the original MSO as I never registered the bike and eventually lost it. It will come with a Bill of Sale.   I have used this bike strictly on my property in Upstate NY for the last 20 years and have done routine maintenance as needed. Every summer I would pull it out of the garage and bet whomever was with me a hundred bucks that she would start within 2 kicks after sitting all winter.  I never lost.   The bike has just over 1400 original miles. The bike is no cream-puff as far as how she looks, but that is her appeal. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS.  Totally reliable for an every day ride, or perfect for a retro restoration, this bike is certainly a classic.    Please email any questions you may have.  Also please check out my ALWAYS 100% feedback and bid with confidence.   Shipping can be arranged via uShip or my own transport Co.

Electric Motorcycle Conversion [video]

Fri, 30 Jul 2010

If you were ever curious how to convert your smelly, noisy and dirty gas powered motorcycle into a quiet and zero emissions electric motorcycle then you have to check this video out from GomiStyle.  They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. Here is a link to the step-by-step instructions, check out the video after the jump. The GomiCycle – An Electric Motorcycle Conversion from Media Sapien on Vimeo.

The Private Life of Dani Pedrosa – Video

Wed, 02 May 2012

Dani Pedrosa is probably the most enigmatic of MotoGP’s “Aliens”. He doesn’t have the charisma of a Valentino Rossi, he doesn’t attract controversy like teammate Casey Stoner, and he doesn’t have the exuberant victory celebrations of Jorge Lorenzo. There’s also a large segment of American fans who still can’t forgive Pedrosa for taking out his teammate Nicky Hayden at Estoril in 2006, almost costing the Kentucky Kid the championship.

Top box trauma

Wed, 24 Nov 2010

I've struggled with my Honda hard luggage over the past few months, I have to admit. To much office hilarity (and piss taking) I managed to lose the top box just a few miles from the office. I thought the locating mechanism was fastened securely but the first rapid getaway from the first set of traffic lights on Upper Street proved me wrong. It was at least a mile before I noticed that my top box was absent.
