If You Have Been Looking For That

LOW MILE, PRISTINE

2005 Honda Valkyrie Rune

THE SEARCH IS OVER!

I Have Traded For Many Really Nice Motorcycles

BUT THIS IS ONE BAD BOY!

One look at the Honda Rune and you can tell this is something special. Its appearance is so wild and distinctive that it transforms its rider into an instant celebrity - people incessantly snap their heads and do double-takes in a futile attempt to take in all that the Rune offers the eye. This thing is a visual feast from front to back. Take a look at its unique trailing link fork (with dual shocks hidden below the steering head), then let your eyes pick up the odd but stirringly curvaceous headlight. A beautiful seamless fuel tank arches gracefully over the chrome six-cylinder motor, framed by the only aluminum chassis of the bunch. A single-sided Unit Pro-Link swingarm shows off the 5-spoke rear wheel that mimics the look of a '60s Halibrand magnesium car wheel with a modern flair. This is a PRISTINE 6147 mile 2005 Honda Valkyrie Rune shown in Honda's HOTTEST color Black! Please take the time to review all the pictures, this is one bad to the bone bike!

Miguel Duhamel to Ride for Lightning-Barracuda at Le Mans FIM e-Power/TTXGP Race

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Miguel Duhamel is returning to action to race in the FIM e-Power International Championship for Lightning Motorcycles. The five-time Daytona 200 winner will ride the Lightning Barracuda electric motorcycle for the joint FIM and TTXGP race at Le Mans , and Motorcycle.com had a role in setting up the connection. The topic of a rider for Le Mans came up during the preparations for Associate Editor Troy Siahaan‘s exclusive test of the Lightning race bike last month.

Video: Honda Crossrunner v mountain pass

Fri, 01 Apr 2011

This road (the one in the video) was a previously unseen, super-steep mountain pass which needed first gear for the hairpins and second between them with an occasional grab at third on the quicker sections. It was the sort of road that pumps up your forearms and makes you crane your neck to see what's coming next (mainly cyclists). The surface was rubbish.

Things I wouldn't like to race: Part 1

Mon, 25 Jul 2011

Now I know that Mike Hailwood raced a 6-cylinder Honda but that's no excuse for this CBX I spotted at the Bikers Days Spa Classic. The 1047cc, inline 6 cylinder, 24 Valve, DOHC Honda might be a feat of engineering brilliance but it looks like it would be a right handful on track. I've added a picture of an oil tanker to give you an idea of just how long the CBX's wheelbase really is.
