Honda Valkyrie description

Reluctantly selling my 99 Valkyrie. Strongest bike I've owned in 40 years of riding. Smooth as silk and totally reliable. She may need a new front tire next year depending on how much you ride, now she needs nothing but an experienced rider. Handles like a much smaller bike and loves curves. I'm 3rd owner and have good maintenance records. Always draws a crowd at rides and rallys and is too much fun to ride. Only selling because I've ridden Goldwings for last 10 years and this bike lacks the storage my wife and I need for touring. Bike is listed locally so auction may end early. You may call with questions; Rick 740-821-twenty-sixty. Thanks for looking.

Mac Motorcycles

British motorcycle design studio Xenophya Design and product designer Ellis Pitt have teamed up to produce a new company, Mac Motorcycles. Based out of Upton-Upon-Severn in Worcestershire, England, Mac Motorcycles will produce a line of bikes powered by Buell’s air-cooled single cylinder 492cc engines used in the Blast, with a tubular backbone frame. On the company’s website, Pitt describes its bikes as being simple to maintain, include references and details from choppers and bobbers and feature “Harley posture, flat-track manners, Ducati handling”.

Classic Off-Road Bikes Featured in Braving Baja: 1,000 Miles to Glory Exhibition

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

Back in the 60s, American Honda tested the durability of its motorcycles by sending a CL72 Scrambler on a 950-mile trek through rocks, sand washes, dry lake beds, mountain passes and paved roads. Fifty years later, that legendary run is remembered for inspiring one of the most significant off-road races in the world—the Baja 1000. In celebration, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is hosting a tribute dinner, one-day off road show, and summer-long exhibition called Braving Baja, 1,000 Miles to Glory.
