Honda VTX description

2005 Honda VTX 1800F Spec 1, Available Soon! A smooth ride with plenty of power! - Engine is a 1795cc liquid-cooled 52 V-twin that hammers out immense power--106bhp at 5000 rpm and 120 lb./ft. of torque at 3500 rpm. - V-twin engine features 4-inch cylinder bores and the largest connecting rods and cylinders Honda has ever made. - Offset dual-pin crankshaft with two primary-shaft-mounted balance weights allows a high-performance engine design while eliminating harsh engine vibration. The result: muscular power across a broad rpm range for unequaled acceleration and roll-on performance. - The 41.4-pound forged steel crankshaft uses bolted weights, reducing crankcase width nearly 2 inches and reducing crankshaft weight 8.8 pounds compared to a conventional one-piece design. - The engine mounting system uses carefully matched hangers and rubber mounts to eliminate unwanted vibration, while preserving the powerful character of the engine's V-twin design.

The bike whisperer...

Fri, 10 Feb 2012

We've all been there. The frustration caused when your pride and joy isn't working can cause beautiful relationships to instantly turn frosty. I once spent half an hour in the rain trying to bump start my bike once, before actually checking the kill switch.

The Honda Collection Halls in Motegi

Fri, 14 Oct 2011

I thought you may have to be from a certain era to enjoy the Honda Collection Halls in Motegi but I was wrong. This immaculate museum has hundreds of race and road bikes on display starting with the first ever (wooden) motorcycle built right up to the amazing machines Pedrosa and co are campaigning this year. Being part of the Honda owned Motegi Twin Ring circuit complex, I was expecting it to be a Honda only zone so was amazed to see lots of iconic bikes from other manufacturers also on display.

2023 Honda ST125 Dax Announced for Europe

Mon, 14 Mar 2022

Fast Facts T-shaped chassis Tiny 1-gallon fuel tank IMU-based ABS No word on US availability Another friendly little retro Minimoto from Honda Honda announced a new 125cc Minimoto for Europe, reviving the Dax model name for a new generation of riders. The name was originally used in Europe in 1969 for Honda’s ST-series in 50 and 70cc models, and last produced from 1995 to 2003 in Japan. The name comes from “Dachshund”, as its distinctive T-shaped frame resembles the weiner dog breed, helping it stand out from Honda’s other minibikes like the Monkey and Cub.
