Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. Honda has applied for a European Vehicle Type Approval for a new model

A while later, renderings of what a sports touring car with the engine and transmission from the CRF1100 Africa Twin might look like appeared on the network. Since then, no new information about the appearance of the NT1100 has been leaked, but just the other day it became clear that the model will be presented soon.

But this clip descends in to absurdity when the rider fumbles setting off on the Honda NR750 and drops the oval-pistoned beauty on its side. Did he stall it or is there a disc lock hidden within the pixilated video?
