Honda VTX description

For Sale: 2004 Honda VTX 1300S. The "S" model is the Retro with spoke wheels. The bike is in excellent condition and runs very well.  It has approximately 37,800 miles on it. I just put 600 miles on it last weekend. I am the third owner and have had it since 13,000 miles. Comes with a T-bag for the sissy bar as well.  Tires are in good condition with many miles left on them.  Lots of aftermarket accessories, over $3,000 in add-ons. It's a great bike and I've ridden to the West Coast one summer and to Yellowstone & Sturgis another.

This is a liquid cooled, v-twin with shaft drive.  These bikes are know to run to well over 100,000 miles.

Note: Both auxiliary headlights are stone chipped but don't leak or have any sharp edges.  I just haven't gotten around to get new lenses.

X-ray: Marquez's Suter Moto2

Mon, 22 Aug 2011

Learning in the quickest and most painful manner with some huge crashes, Marc Marquez has grown into a championship contender in his first year in Moto2. A debut win in Le Mans saw the rookie go on to win four races in a row and become a glaring orange nuisance in the championship peripherals of Stefan Bradl. As success has gone Marquez's way there have been complaints from riders of the same chassis that this is down to Suter giving the Spaniard preferential treatment.

Honda unveiled a new mid-sized naked standard using the 670cc parallel Twin engine and second-generation dual-clutch transmission. The new Honda NC700S is powered by the same 670cc Twin engine as the Integra motorcycle/scooter crossover and the NC700X. Designed to be lightweight and fuel-efficient, Honda claims an output of 46.9 hp at 6250 rpm and 44.3 ft-lb.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
