This is a very custom Harley FXR in outstanding condition, low miles....7641 miles on the bike and 50 miles on the completely rebuild upper-end.  A lifter gave out, so I had the Harley Dealership (8/17/16) redo the full upper end, new rings pistons, barrels bored over, new 327 cam, etc.  I have all paper work...I just took a 50 mile ride to start the break-in and I'll tell you, this is a sweet strong running bike!  I had them replace the battery and service the bike upon completion.  No surprises with this bike.  It comes with a 90 day warranty on the rebuild work that was just completed, so no worries about some Dink Mechanic doing the work.  The Harley Dealership that completed the job has one of the best Mechanics around....Yep, to the tune of $3,200!   Not a great deal for me, but a super deal for the new buyer at this price......You will not find a nicer FXR around for this price! I'm giving up riding, this is my final Bike.....I've had other FXR's and Touring Bikes and this was one of my favorites!  So many extra's it crazy....Harley built this FXR new from the factory as a show bike with all the cool stuff.....A picture says a thousand words!  Text or call with any questions!  Thanks for looking....Aloha Dan  (702) 499-9440 Don't let this one get away!

For sell is an absolute gem of a motorcycle.  Originally, my wife and I had three of these fine FXR4s.  This is my wife's bike, and it is the last one for sell.  We have sold the other two.  My wife is the second owner of this motorcycle.  She bought it with 210 miles on it from a former NBA player.  This motorcycle is the epitome and pinnacle of Harley Davidson Evolution motors.  Manufactured from 1984 until 2000, this is the last production Harley to feature the Evolution motor.  This motor is a legend.  It has an Andrews EVO 27 camshaft to produce more torque, a Dynojet kit to induce the carb to perform better, and a Screamin' Eagle Harley air filter to allocate all that air to produce one sweet sound and power.  This is Harley's first CVO.  They produced 300 orange ones and 600 yellow ones.  Dealers were getting 3 to 5 thousand over MSRP  to purchase.  This one is very special.  The turn signals have been updated to the newest and best looking slimline Harley turn signals.  An integral Harley harness allows the turn signals to act as brake lights in addition to turn signals.    All the wiring associated with the stock handlebars is internally routed.  You don't see any wiring outside or strapped to the handlebars.  It is a clean look.  The mufflers are RUSH, designed just for this model.  They sound great without annoying the neighbors.  In fact, this is probably the best sounding Harley ever.  With the cam and mufflers and carb, it goes "po-ta-to, po-ta-to, po-ta, po-ta-to, etc.  It sounds and runs great.  There is no rust, scratches, dents, blemishes, or whatever on this bike.  It looks great.  When my wife and I ride it, people wonder if it's a new Harley - they've never seen one like it.  Eric Buell designed the FXR frame.  It handles and performs super.  This FXR has a high fifth gear enabling it to rumble down the Interstate barely breathing and returning excellent power and mileage.  This bike has the Harley detachable windshield to enhance the long distance experience.  It also has a luggage rack to carry that overnight bag for a weekend getaway.  It came with a spoked wire wheel on front which we still have.  It was replaced with a Harley Lightning Star Mag wheel so we could run tubeless tires.  The tires are Michelin Commanders and have about 5,500 miles on them.  You can't go wrong with this bike.  I can't imagine a FXR4 being any better.  It has AMSOIL 20W-50 throughout its innards and is serviced and ridden regularly.  I hate to see it go, but it's time to pare down.  If you'll looking for a bike like this, you won't find one any better.  It's a gem and a looker.  No Sportster can touch it; no Dyna can outdo it.  Oh yeah, it's only got 5,857 miles.  Everything is stock except the mufflers, front wheel (which I have), and old turn signals (I have them, but there are butt ugly).  As this bike is for sell locally, I reserve the right to end the auction early.  Local pickup only and/or can assist with shipping!  GOOD LUCK BIDDING!

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

2024 Honda Motocompacto Review – First Ride

A cult classic scooter electrified and reimagined for Gen Z Photos: Honda/Wedrick Campbell It doesn’t take long to scoot around Honda’s US headquarters in Torrance, California to see how the new Motocompacto makes a lot of sense. Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
