Honda announced it is developing a new 125cc scooter engine with an idle stop system promising 25% better fuel economy than existing engines. The announcement comes alongside the announcement of a new 700cc engine which will be introduced with the Honda Integra scooter. MotoGP Axes Claiming Rule and Adjusts Moto2 Engine Swap Fees

The International Motorcycling Federation‘s Grand Prix Commission officially annulled MotoGP‘s Claiming Rule. Effective immediately, teams using the official spec Magneti Marelli ECU hardware and software are exempt from having their engines claimed. Starting in the 2014 season however, the claiming rule will be cancelled completely.

Honda Motor Co., Ltd., has announced its consolidated financial results for the fiscal third quarter which ended December 31, 2013. Honda’s consolidated net income attributable to Honda Motor Co., Ltd. for the fiscal third quarter ended December 31, 2012 totaled $894 million, an increase of 62.5% from the same period last year.
