Honda Shadow description

2010 Honda Shadow Phantom (VT750C2B), 2010 Honda Shadow Phantom 750 in remarkable condition. This bike has less than 3,000 miles on it and is in nearly factory condition. Upgraded Cobra Streetrod flat black pipes make this bike both look and sound incredible. Garage kept as a non-daily driver it's entire life and it has NEVER seen the ground. Brand new Duralast Gold battery as of 9.18.13. There are two very minor imperfections to this bike: 1) the left rear turn signal gasket is a little loose (almost not noticeable and has no functional implication) 2) the leather strap on the seat has a little ware on it. Apart from that, this bike looks stunning, sounds fantastic and has been taken care of every day of it's life. I am the first and only owner, bike was purchased from Honda Powersports in Huntington Beach right off the showroom with one mile on it. Would also be willing to part with a nearly new SHOEI RF-1100 black helmet with dark smoke visor and a Large Alpine Stars synthetic kevlar reinforced jacket for $500 if need (thats a steal, helmet alone costs more brand new). Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?

Thu, 05 May 2011

Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.

Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella

Fri, 10 May 2013

A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure.  He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope.  He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat.  Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why.  Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy.  I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.
