Beautiful Honda Shadow American Classic Edition Tourer.
Honda made just over 6000 of these bike between 1998 and 2001. The ACE Tourer is an excellent cruiser/tourer with factory hard bags. It is a very easy to ride mid weight bike that is perfectly balanced. This 1998 model is in excellent condition. It has always been garage kept. Never exposed to the elements. With only 17,500 miles on the odometer it has barely been "broke-in". According to their site, the process takes less than 90 seconds with a single operator using the handheld remote control. The bike can allegedly be driven like any other motorcycle when you are not towing a car behind you.
2014 Honda CTX700 Recalled in Canada for ABS Issue
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the new Honda CTX700 because of a manufacturing error in its anti-lock braking system. The Canadian recall applies to both the CTX700N and the partially-faired CTX700T (known simply as the Honda CTX700 in the U.S. market and other markets.) According to the recall notice, the ABS modulator may have been manufactured incorrectly and could potentially fail, allowing the front and/or rear wheels to lock up under heavy braking, increasing the risk of a crash.
