Honda Shadow description

1983 Honda Shadow 750vt. It is not running at this point. I bought this to do a Bobber project, but soon discovered I didn't have the time, the tools or the skill to take on this project. I am now getting married so some of these "I want to get to at some point" have to go. I have a Clymer manual to go with it. I have replaced a few parts and put on drag bars. I have not cut the frame, but have scrubbed & cleaned up the bike considerably. I have a few other parts and new gaskets for it. I was handed the title when I bought it, but it hasn't been licensed in years. I learned a lot with this project and now it is time for someone else to make my/their dream a reality. If I had the time or patience, it would also make a good parting out bike, but really I just want it gone. The 1st 2 photos are how I bought it.The 2nd 2 photos are what I have done to it so far (drag bars not shown, but are included). The last two images are the look I was heading to.Please feel free to call me, but please be serious and respectful with any offers... at this price, it is almost free already :-) If you are going to email me, please put "Serious about 750s" in the subject line so I know it is not spam. Thanks!!

For 2012 Honda revamped the CBR1000RR, Yamaha added traction control to the R1, the GSX-R1000 lost a muffler and last year Kawasaki introduced an all-new ZX-10R.

The 2013 model features new Kayaba pneumatic front forks, just like Kawasaki’s competing KX450F.

Honda to Introduce Larger “New Concept” Models for North America

Fri, 21 Sep 2012

Honda announced it is following up on its NC700 series with a new large-sized model, with sales expected to begin in North America in 2013. Honda first announced plans for its NC700 models in at the 2010 EICMA show with a concept it called the “New Mid“, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise Honda would follow it up with a “New Large” series. The new models were announced in a presentation by Honda Chief Executive Officer Takanobu Ito alongside plans to develop a new MotoGP-derived sportbike.
