These hard to find SL's are in demand and would certainly thrill many young and old finding this under their tree on Christmas morning ! Professionally refinished tank, fenders, headlight and side covers with repro embossed tank badges and graphics. Done to a very respectable level... Minor paint chips, scratches or flaws may be present but in fact looks absolutely super in this exciting Green Honda SL color never offered on this displacement. Original rims & spokes, forks, rare taillight & bracket, hardware and such have all been cleaned and attended to, present well but do show wear or light corrosion constitent with age. The detailed engine is original to the bike and to my knowledge has not, did not or does not need attention. Starts, stops and runs great... Clutch seems a bit noisy yet engages and shifts throughout gears fine. Mileage indicated on original speedometer shows 4545 probably original miles but sold as mileage exempt and without warranties. etc. Restorations ultimately have compromises on availability of parts, finishes and budgets. How do 1000s compare to the 800s

Wed, 09 Nov 2011

Yesterday, Dani Pedrosa was the quickest 1000 on his Honda RC213V setting a time of 1:32.186. To find the quickest time from the outgoing 800 era you have to look at his current Repsol Honda team-mate, Casey Stoner, but it wasn't set on a Honda.
