Up for grabs...1971 Triumph Tiger TR6R 650. This is a good running bike, just serviced, in nice cosmetic shape. It is fitted with a UK-style tank (newer paint on the fenders and tank), some old-school TR mufflers, and a new seat. Engine and frame numbers do match, all lights work, small tool kit is included. Mileage reads just over 6,600 and is believed to be original. Bike smokes a little from the right hand side - not mosquito fogger bad, but there's a little puff when getting on the throttle (probably rings as this bike has sat most of its life). Starts and runs fine despite this. This would be a great basis for a custom build if you're looking for a cool vintage, right-side shift Triumph. The good: Clear Virginia Title in my name, it runs ok but could use a tune up because I haven't ridden it much, maybe new plugs and a carb cleaning, it wet sumps if it sits too long but most british bikes do! Sun, 29 Jan 2023By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
