Honda Rebel description
2006 Honda Rebel (CMX250C), This is a 2006 Honda Rebel starter bike, great for anyone wanting to learn how to ride and not ready to step up to a much more powerful bike. This is a small bike and very easy to handle, so there is little to no worry about its handling. This bike was purchased brand new and was my starter bike, I road it for some time as a college student before moving up to a larger CC bike, and so as a learner this bike was dropped early on and got a dent on the side of its gas tank, its not a serious dent and did not even do any paint damage. All the controls on this bike work great, and its parts are lightly worn, so all in great condition and being a honda it holds up very well and its low maintenance. Once I moved up to a new bike, I did let my father use this bike and while in his care, he dropped the bike himself on its other side and some how managed to make tiny dents in the tank on its other side, and even broke its tail light plastic cover, but not the tail light itself, other than a few cosmetic issues, the bike is still in great shape and is factory colored white with chrome, this still a great bike for someone small or someone looking to learn for a bigger bike, plus its great on gas and can save lots of money on fuel in todays heavy fuel cost. If you have any questions or concerns and want to know more about the bike and such, go ahead and send me a email or a text message, I may not always be able to answer a phone call, so a email and text message is best because its likely I can get back to you quicker via email or text than phone call. $1,995.00 8643602840

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
Bahrain track days
Tue, 17 Dec 2013A few months ago, expat (and ex racer) John Beddall made contact to ask if I fancied doing some track day instruction out in Bahrain. After thinking about it for two seconds, flights were booked and a plan was put in place to look after around forty riders for a day at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). Young Taylor Mac was also recruited to look after any tasty riders that I couldn’t deal with The Brits out there love their bikes, however, quite a few locals also turned up plus a few others from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. Most were on high end Superbikes, like S1000s, Panigales and RSV4s but there was also a healthy number R6s and new 675Rs. Although this fabulous Hermann Tilke designed circuit is around ten years old incredibly it has never hosted a bike race. The highlight of the year there is F1 but being owned by the Bahrainian Royal family, there is no desperate need for the circuit to operate as a profitable business. The track reminded me of Qatar but much more interesting as some great undulations have been built into its desert location. We shared the track with Supercars on the day (20mins on/20mins off) and as you might imagine it was betty swollocks for seven hours in the 30 plus temperatures. As usual there was a few offs with poor old RS1000 Aprilia mounted Andy breaking his femur early in the day. Two other buddies appeared to swap bikes mid air in another incident but fortunately escaped unhurt. In the evening everyone stayed for an al fresco dinner in the paddock with the craic going on for hours as the Fosters kept flowing. All in all it was a brilliant trip and it has left me thinking there could be cost effective ways of getting Brits out there for track days next winter. I'll keep you posted.Cape Town next to make my racing comeback at the Killarney 8 hour on a CBR150 Honda. Hopefully I can manage the beast, I'll post a full report next week.
