Honda Pacific coast description

My superb PC800 has to find a new home because it is not getting used. It is a lovely bike, maintained to the very highest standards, not a scratch or mark, perfect in every respect. It is equipped with Sargent seat, Riders back rest, 2" bar pull backs, Ram ball mounts for GPS and Radar. Radial Avon and Michelin tyres, both new. Original tool kit and owners book.

For those in the know 1996 was the year to have because they had all the factory updates and fully loaded.  97 models suffered from some factory cost cutting by deleting several of the excellent but expensive style and finish trim.  These iconic bikes have a cult following with steadily rising prices. Unmarked ones are very difficult to find.

Fly in and ride it home. Phone or email, text messages will not be answered.

MotoGP should return to Suzuka

Thu, 14 Jul 2011

Suzuka was always one of the great circuits; unfortunately the Japanese track was dropped following the tragic death of Daijiro Kato in 2003 as the course was deemed too tight and dangerous for the rapid four-strokes. Owned by Honda, Suzuka is a magical place combining arching S-bends from the start of the lap, high-speed in the middle and finished off with the technical and oft racing deciding final chicane, the location of many fantastic last lap battles. However the death of Kato, and Honda’s major hope of a Japanese champion, placed a dark cloud over the 5.807 kilometres of tarmac.

The most beautiful race bike ever?

Thu, 06 Oct 2011

It was good to see my old HRC team mate Shinichi Itoh making his final Moto GP appearance last weekend at Motegi.  At 44 he was a bit off the pace compared to his younger team mates, but that didn't matter as it was a joy just to see him circulating on what I reckon is most stunning GP bike ever. And I gladly braved the pit lane walkabout chaos just to dribble and take a few snaps. Unfortunately he lost the front in one session trashing a complete set of body work but was back in action on race day to grab a few world championship points.

Honda Canada to Launch CBR250R Racing Series

Fri, 30 Sep 2011

Honda Canada will introduce a new national racing series featuring the CBR250R for 2012. The news is no surprise as Honda has been running a CBR125R Challenge racing series as a support class for the Canadian Superbike Championship since 2008. With the CBR250R on the market for nearly a year (and reportedly doing quite well at that), a racing series featuring the quarter-liter sportbike was almost inevitable.
