Honda Other description

1982 HONDA CX500 TURBO
8,900 Miles
Excellent Condition
RUNS LIKE NEW

Up for sale is an extremely rare 1982 Honda CX500 Turbo.

These CX500 Turbos are rare. Less than 1,800 were built worldwide, and just over 1,000 made it into the US. Original pricing put them thousands of dollars over the cost of a brand new literbike. Because of the expense, most people did not jump on the turbo bandwagon, leaving Honda (and others) with a poor seller. Fast forward 30 years and that poor seller now becomes a collectable model! These Honda Turbos are pretty bulletproof – after all, it IS a Honda

ALWAYS GARAGED
ORIGINAL HONDA KEY
CA registered till August 2014. Title and Bill of Sale ready!

UPDATE:

sorry for the many updates, I just have been receiving many inquiries and I want to post the most information possible.
I updated new pictures that you might be able to tell, there is a mark on the right side of the bike, I think since its been stored for so long the paint cracked a little its not very noticebile but if you look closely you can definitely see it (hope the image can show it), as you may know its made of fiberglass, so thats that,
The key has a small crack on the part where you put the ring, im sure you can crazy glue it (see pic)
The only addition as you may see is the lower fairing, that was custom made, and I guess I wasn't gonna post this but I will , this bike belonged to Neal Carrey (Drew Carrey's Brother)  FYI
Other than this all bike is in Mint condition, motor, hoses, rims (which are hard to get in this condition, I added pics)
Also I installed a brand new rear Metzeler Tire ( $180.00) looks really nice.
All I have to say is see the pics.

Honda RCV1000R MotoGP Production Racer Revealed

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

Honda Racing Corporation officially introduced its new RCV1000R production racer which will be sold to racing teams hoping to compete in MotoGP‘s new “Open” prototype class. The RCV1000R is based on Honda’s RC213V factory prototype, with the same chassis and a similar 90° V-4 engine claiming more than 234 hp at 16000 rpm. The key difference is the engine uses traditional spring valves whereas the valves on the RC213V are activated pneumatically.

Electric Motorcycle Conversion [video]

Fri, 30 Jul 2010

If you were ever curious how to convert your smelly, noisy and dirty gas powered motorcycle into a quiet and zero emissions electric motorcycle then you have to check this video out from GomiStyle.  They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. Here is a link to the step-by-step instructions, check out the video after the jump. The GomiCycle – An Electric Motorcycle Conversion from Media Sapien on Vimeo.

Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of  resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.
