Honda Other description

I am listing this for a friend who is not eBay savvy.

This is a basically near brand new 1990 Honda NS50 2 stroke mini road racing bike. This little bike is the ultimate around the town bike, or pit bike, and is just way better than a scooter. It is 50cc of fun in a near full size package, and is a liquid cooled cult bike!

It has ~800 miles on it and has never, ever been down. It is all stock and near perfect condition. It has been sitting, so it will need fresh gas and a good cleaning.

In fact, the only place it was really ridden was at that old 50cc rally that they used to run in Georgia.  The bike was bought and run for that event - it used to be featured on the old Motoworld TV show.

This bike is located in the Columbus Ohio area and has a clear title and is being sold by the original owner.

Aside from a few stickers, there are really no significant condition notes, it is all stock and has no issues to note outside of its age and that it has been sitting.

Condition is near perfect - just needs a good going through. Hardly ridden, title in hand.

The boring stuff (but please read):

Local pickup is welcome and encouraged.

Shipping: I suggest you use Daily Direct for transport. Their phone number is 888-haulbikes, and they are professionals with a strong track record of moving expensive and nice motorcycles. I also have some other shipping options as well, and some that are much cheaper than you might think, so hit me up with any questions, but Daily Direct is very good, and offers INSURED door to door roll on and roll off service.

It is possible to ship international, but the buyer must coordinate this, as the process can be cumbersome. We will assist as best as possible and do have really good access to shippers to the UK, Europe  and Australia. I can also ship to the middle east as well. But please note that all paperwork will be handled by the buyer.

Seller Notes: If you are a serious buyer, it is available to be shown, but we are not looking for tire kickers or time wasters. The bike is located in the Columbus Ohio area.

Payment: A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of closing, or a friendly phone call or clear email on who you are and how you intend to close the deal. I am very easy to work with, but a little clear communication goes a long way with me. Paypal is fine for deposit, but the fee and commission they take is very high. So if you want to use Paypal for payment, then I would require a personal payment only.  Cash on pickup is always best,  but we will take payment however is easiest for you for to send.  Cash, wire transfer, bank check, Paypal, WU, Carrier Pidgin - whatever - but as long as it clears our bank and you are not playing the Nigerian lottery with me, I could care less how it comes.

If you are a serious buyer and have the money in hand, I am happy to talk to you on the phone about whatever questions or interest you have in the bikes. But please, no time wasters or tire kickers.

The bikes are for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing at any time if a local buyer comes forward. The local cost is $1600.

I have been on eBay since 1998 and have not had one negative feedback.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Isle of Man TT 2014: Dainese Superbike TT Results

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

Michael Dunlop won a historic Dainese Superbike race to kick off the 2014 Isle of Man TT week. Riding the S1000RR, Dunlop secured BMW its first win on the Isle of Man since Georg Meier won on a Type 255 Kompressor in 1939. After catching early leader James Hillier of the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team on the opening lap, Dunlop continued to set an impressive first lap time of 17:11.107, which translates to a record average speed of 131.730 mph on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.

Design Filings May Offer Clues to the Honda NX500

Tue, 10 May 2022

Africa Twin-inspired styling may be for an NX200 model Last week, we wrote about trademark filings that suggest Honda was working on a CL500 scrambler and an NX500 dual sport/adventure bike. We’ve now uncovered design filings that may offer a hint at what the NX500 may look like. However, the design itself isn’t for the NX500, which we expect to be powered by the same liquid-cooled 471cc Parallel-Twin used on multiple other models in Honda’s lineup.

Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.
