1981 Honda CM200T Candy Bourgogne Red 12705 Original Miles. The CM200T Twinstar was sold in 1981 and was available in 2 colors: Candy Bourgogne Red or Candy Sword Blue. The "HONDA" and "TWINSTAR" emblems and outer pinstripes were gold. This year the bike had a CD ignition instead of breaker points. Also it had a twelve volt electrical system instead of the 6 v of the previous year. There was a chrome grip handle behind the seat. The engine was a 194cc OHC parallel twin linked to a four gear transmission. Great little collector or perfect for learning how to ride. Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
Taliban Magazine Condemns America but Praises Honda
Wed, 11 Dec 2013Manufacturers are usually glad to hear positive reviews of their products, but we’ve got a feeling Honda is not happy about the ringing endorsement it received from the latest issue of the Taliban-published magazine “Azan“. The English-language magazine is a pro-Jihadist quarterly; pure propaganda designed to recruit impressionable and disillusioned Muslims in the West. It’s somewhat jarring then to find buried within the radical rhetoric a full page spread on a 125cc Honda as one of the Taliban’s “Steeds of War”.
