nice bike for its age..did start and run good ..took it out of storage changed oil.. jumped it and it started right up ...may need carbs cleaned etc from sitting..front tire has good tread but has some cracking in rubber ..should be replaced..tank looks like it had been painted ..I don't believe its the original color... its all there and seems to be a good motor cycle.. I bought it at an estate sale back in may and took it right to my ware house and it sat till last week when I started it...rode it around my lot seemed to handle good....I am in no way saying this is a perfect bike ..its low miles and has probably been sitting most of its life.. but it is clean and everything seems to work as it should....

“The Meet” Vintage Motorcycle Show This Saturday

While festivities will begin on Friday evening, America’s Car Museum (ACM) will host the third annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
