1980 Yamaha Other (1980)
Previously listed as a 1978 YZ 80 (that's what I was told by the guy I got it from), but I've been informed by my fellow Ebay-ers that this is a late 70's, early 80's, YAMAHA MX 100. Bike is currently in a non-running state. The gentleman I purchased it from in July of 2016 told me it ran last summer. The engine is NOT seized; it has good compression. I drained the old oil and gas and put in new oil and a new plug, but then I discovered the next part....(keep reading) The gas tank is rusted and leaks.2016-10-08 04:41:19Milton, Washington, United States999500.00 -

Yamaha: Other (1980)
HI! Thanks for looking only reason I put as salvage is because of the following, I'm not to sure of the size of this bike as the sticker is worn and is in fair shape, the tires have plenty of life still on them as they were new when the bike got stored . Sat in garage for a couple years after the owner died and his wife never registered the bike. But before his passing was driven often If I was a bike man I would have got it on the road myself for about $125 new switch, new seat and there is a little rust on the muffler and foot pegs I'm thinking its a 1980 as stated on one of the stickers also included serial # 5N9-002689 off engine .2016-06-15 05:05:39Lac-des-Ecorces, Quebec, Canada58600.00 -

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride
Fri, 03 Nov 2023A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.
