This is a 1974 Honda XL250 Enduro Dual Sport 4 Stroke Motorcycle. It has a rebuilt engine, new Kenda tires that have never been driven on, new UFO fenders, new clear hand guards, new handlebars, control handles, perches, and mirrors. Has a new aftermarket front ferring. It does have a Clarke gas tank (the paint is peeling on it). All new cables, brakes, battery, speedometer, and tachometer. The seat was newly recovered. The speedometer only reads 1.4 miles since the entire bike was rebuilt. It has a new chain and sprockets as well. It does need a left case gasket and should be good to go. The motorcycle runs, but I am having to get rid of it because after rebuilding it, I found out I was going to have to have knee surgery and this is a kickstart only bike and I will not be able to start it. I have another bike that is electric start, so this one has to go. There are many other extra parts that go with the bike if you want them. This is an "as is" sale. Not the prettiest bike, but will definitely get you around town. The bad, could use a tune up, new brake pads, an oil change, leaks oil, seat has a rip in it, speedometer is loose and duct taped (never had any problems with it), there is rust, left turn signal is loose, tires could be replaced (I've had no issues with them), clutch occasionally slips out of 1st and into N. The good, it starts every time and runs great, it's cheap, the engine has had no issues, it is a great commuter bike and handles really well on the freeways, controls work, it's not a race bike but is very quick off the line. This is a great bike to practice on and develop skills before buying an expensive bike and dropping it. I've scraped the pegs but have never had this bike down. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! This is a 1979 Honda Z50R Mini Trail 50, VIN 5007205. We are selling it for a friend who has had it in storage for about 2 years. It ran when it was parked, but may need to be gone through, he said they sometimes had to push it to start it. This bike was modified by a former owner with “long travel” suspension front and rear. Mechanically, everything seems to work – forks, shocks, brakes, shifter, cables, etc. This bike is very clean for its age. There is one small dent on the right side of the gas tank but tank is very clean inside and there are no leaks, either from fuel or oil. 1965 Honda 250 Scrambler CL72 CL-72 CL 72 CL77 305 (1965)
Selling my very carefully restored 1965 Honda 250 Scrambler CL72. This is a matching numbers motorcycle (or as close as it got back then). I found this bike around 2002 through a local VJMC notice advertising a free Honda Dream. Turns out it was this Honda CL72 that had a connection to the same family since the mid-60's. A young man in Indianapolis owned it and was drafted and went off to Vietnam where he was killed in combat. Dad gave and sold the bike several times with the understanding that it be offered first to him when that owner was ready to sell. So, all owners over the years did just that and the last one returned it to the father where it sat in his garage for several years. He finally was ready to move on and offered it for free to a good home. I was lucky enough to be the first one to get there. For the next several years, I worked on faithfully restoring the bike to it's original state using the Bill Silver guides, photos and other reference material I could find. I have seen many ads for Honda CL72's for sale on eBay over the years and almost none of them are truly correct. Other than the paint and spokes and maybe one cable, this bike is as close to bone stock as you're likely to get. If you are looking for a truly original CL-72, this is a good choice. I have had it for several years and it it time to hand it off to a new proud owner. Mon, 28 Apr 2014Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.

Honda Reports 2013-2014 Sales Results
Fri, 25 Apr 2014A strong fourth quarter helped Honda see a 9.8% increase in motorcycle sales and a 9.3% increase in motorcycle revenue for its fiscal year ended March 31, 2014. The Japanese manufacturer reported sales of 17.0 million motorcycles and ATVs over the fiscal year, up from the 15.5 million sold in the previous year. Honda’s worldwide motorcycle sales increased in each of the previous seven quarters going from 3.8 million in the Q2 last year to 4.5 million in the most recently completed quarter.

The company isn’t releasing much information but what little it has revealed about the Ronax 500 has certainly piqued our interest. What we do know for certain is the motorcycle will be powered by a 500cc two-stroke V-4 engine, which sounds like Honda’s racebike of yesteryear.

Mon, 14 Apr 2014Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.
