1965 Honda 250 Scrambler CL72 CL-72 CL 72 CL77 305 (1965)
Selling my very carefully restored 1965 Honda 250 Scrambler CL72. This is a matching numbers motorcycle (or as close as it got back then). I found this bike around 2002 through a local VJMC notice advertising a free Honda Dream. Turns out it was this Honda CL72 that had a connection to the same family since the mid-60's. A young man in Indianapolis owned it and was drafted and went off to Vietnam where he was killed in combat. Dad gave and sold the bike several times with the understanding that it be offered first to him when that owner was ready to sell. So, all owners over the years did just that and the last one returned it to the father where it sat in his garage for several years. He finally was ready to move on and offered it for free to a good home. I was lucky enough to be the first one to get there. For the next several years, I worked on faithfully restoring the bike to it's original state using the Bill Silver guides, photos and other reference material I could find. I have seen many ads for Honda CL72's for sale on eBay over the years and almost none of them are truly correct. Other than the paint and spokes and maybe one cable, this bike is as close to bone stock as you're likely to get. If you are looking for a truly original CL-72, this is a good choice. I have had it for several years and it it time to hand it off to a new proud owner. I found this 1967 CA 160 Honda in a outside storage unit.I clean it up a little put a new 6 V battery in it and got it running.I had to put a good used speedometer in it because the other one was broke .So the mileage on the speedo is not right. I would call this a survivor.It pretty clean for a 1967, it has some paint coming off the side covers it looks like it been touched up in places but all in all looks real clean. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! This auction is for a REALLY sweet 1970 Honda Z50A Mini Trail, VIN 307174. This is not a perfect museum piece, but HAS been painstakingly restored with lots of TLC. To start with, the engine has been totally rebuilt (bored first over, new piston and rings, valve job, automatic clutch totally gone through and adjusted, new points, engine cases and head beadblasted, all new seals and gaskets, etc) by a factory trained Honda mechanic with over 40 years of experience. You will actually have to BREAK THIS ENGINE IN (I’ve put about 10 minutes on the bike since rebuild)! The following have been replaced with either NOS or reproduction parts: steering bearings, seat (a stencil is included if you want to add the HONDA logo), wheel bearings, fork gaiters and bushings, wiring harness, front brake cable, front tire, rear brakes, headlight bulb, battery and strap, spark plug, drive chain, kickstand, dimmer switch, and of course, fresh oil. The following HARD TO FIND original parts are still on this bike: air cleaner, complete headlight and taillight assemblies, gas tank badges, chainguard, exhaust heat shield, battery box and rectifier, and factory muffler assembly. Mechanically, brakes work very well, automatic clutch is excellent, gearbox shifts great all through three gears, all lights work. Carb was completely rebuilt, bike starts on first or second kick and idles nicely. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.

CARB Certifies 2015 Honda NC700X – Still No 750 Engine in Sight
Tue, 07 Oct 2014American consumers hoping Honda would replace its NC700X with the larger-displacement NC750X will be disappointed to know they might have to wait until the 2016 model year to get the 75cc engine upgrade. The California Air Resources Board has granted an executive for the 2015 Honda NC700X, certifying the motorcycle for sale in the state with the same 670cc engine displacement it had since being introduced in the 2012 model year. Now, this doesn’t mean Honda won’t decide to certify the 745cc engine after all; manufacturers resubmit and recertify models all the time, often replacing models are adding additional model using the same engine.
