    I bought this bike new in 1984 and it has less than 2800 miles. I replaced the speedometer due to a malfunction so the miles on the bike shown now are 1984 but it had about 350 when I changed it. The bike has just had the carb overhauled and the gas tank sealed and a new front tire.

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.

Honda reported an 11.4% increase in sales volume and 30.0% increase in net sales revenue from its motorcycle business in the third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2013. The industry giant sold 4.25 million motorcycles over the quarter compared to sales of 3.82 motorcycles in the same quarter the previous year.

2014 World Supersport Provisional Entry List

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Supersport Championship, with 23 riders including two to be announced at a later date. The provisional lists includes riders representing four different manufacturers: Honda, Kawasaki, MV Agusta and Yamaha. The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.
