American Honda Played A Big Role In Bringing Nicky Hayden Back To Team Red

In late 2013, American Honda was presented with an opportunity to bring Nicky Hayden back to the Honda family, and renew the relationship that started in 1999 when Hayden was just 17. By retaining Hayden’s services to ride the Honda RCV1000R in the MotoGP World Championship series for the DRIVE M7 Aspar Team in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, American Honda is also now a proud sponsor of the DRIVE M7 Aspar Team. His first MotoGP season (2003) saw Hayden finish fifth in the championship on the Repsol Honda RC211V and win Rookie of the Year honors.

2013 European Junior Cup to Use Honda CBR500R

As expected, Honda announced its new CBR500R sportbike will be featured in the 2013 European Junior Cup, a single-spec racing series that competes at European rounds of the World Superbike Championship. We saw this coming when Honda announced it would supply an all new sportbike for the European Junior Cup, but the news wasn’t official until after Honda unveiled the CBR500R alongside its siblings the CB500F and CB500X at the 2012 EICMA Show. 2014 Honda CRF125F, CRF125F Big Wheel Announced

Honda announced a new off-road model with two wheel size options for 2014. The new Honda CRF125F and the CRF125F Big Wheel variant replace the outgoing CRF80F and CRF100F youth models, just as the CRF110F replaced the CRF70F in the 2013 model year. Essentially, in two years, Honda has replaced three of its long-serving youth-oriented off-road bikes with new larger-displacement models while maintaining the dimensions of the previous models to provide options for kids of varying heights.
