Electric Motorcycle Conversion [video]

If you were ever curious how to convert your smelly, noisy and dirty gas powered motorcycle into a quiet and zero emissions electric motorcycle then you have to check this video out from GomiStyle.  They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. The bike above was once a Ducati Monster S4. It was restyled by Italian custom builder Ferruccio Codutti who took a year crafting the look out for aluminium for one of his customers. Ignoring the grotesque nose, Codutti's work is impressive as the front end was made by the man himself.

The World Superbike Championship was off this past weekend but it looks like there will be some significant changes to the grid when the series resumes next weekend at Istanbul Park in Turkey. Veteran racer Toni Elias has quit his Moto2 team, reportedly to sign with the Red Devils Roma squad to ride the Aprilia RSV4 Factory for the remaining four rounds of the season. Elias will replace Michel Fabrizio who is reportedly unhappy with late payments from the team’s sponsors.
