2012 HONDA VFR1200F DCT, Meet the Future. Revolutionary? Radical? Hondas incredible VFR1200F is all that, and much more. The super-compact Unicam design 1237cc V4 engine is fueled by Hondas Throttle By Wire system, and this year offers more torque and more range. Theres even a new Traction Control system. Together with Hondas Combined Braking with ABS, this makes the VFR one of the most feature packed bikes out there. But perhaps most striking of all is the available game-changing six-speed Honda Dual-Clutch Transmission: featuring your choice of changing gears with a pair of F1-style paddle shifters or letting the bike shift itself in either of two riding modes. Its a feature that has completely blown away even the most cynical magazine test rider. And for 2012 its even better, with revised software to optimize the shift points depending on an individual riders inputs and riding style.

Repsol to Sponsor 15-Year-Old Female Racer
Wed, 22 Feb 2012Spanish oil company and frequent racing sponsor Repsol has reportedly close to signing 15-year-old Red Bull Rookies Cup racer Maria Herrera to its stable of riders. Herrera, the 2011 Mediterranean PreGP Champion, is the first female racer to be selected to compete in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, a youth racing series held jointly with the MotoGP tour. Herrera also trains with MotoGP racer Alvaro Bautista.
Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing
Wed, 27 Oct 2010One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.
