2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. More Than $5 Million Available From 2014 Honda Red Riders Rewards
Fri, 17 Jan 2014The continuation of Honda’s Red Riders Rewards program for 2014 means more than $5 million in earnings will be available to racers. Honda owners have the opportunity to earn payouts at more than 1500 races in 2014 motocross, off-road, dirt track, ATV and road racing contests throughout the country. Honda’s press release was awfully thin with details for road racers, instead focusing on a restructure of the off-road series payouts and the different ways competitors can hope to win money in.
Stoner Tests Honda RCV1000R MotoGP Production Racer
Thu, 03 Oct 2013Retired two-time MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner returned to the track this week to test Honda‘s RC213V racer as well as the company’s new RCV1000R production racer at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit in Japan. This was Stoner’s first test on the production racer after rain cut short a previous test session in August. The weather again threatened to derail Honda’s testing plans, wiping out the first day of the two-day test but Stoner was able to finally able to put in some laps on the production racer and came away impressed.
