Honda Other description

I purchased this Honda Rune new, and as you can see by the mileage I have enjoyed driving it ever since. However, I did not like the standard black seat that it came with, so I had a custom seat cover designed for me, as you can see in the photos.

The only damage to the bike is shown in the photo of the license plate. I backed into something, causing the right red reflector to break away and bend the frame. However, there is no damage or scratches to the fender. Only a new frame is all that's needed.

The eagle on both sides is a stick-on label. It can be peeled off if you desire, but I think it adds a little color to the bike.

Everything else with the bike is excellent. No other maintenance is required. This is a turn-key operation - start it up and go wherever you like.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I know you will be well pleased.

James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.

Church of MO: 2011 Honda CB1000R Review

Sun, 19 Dec 2021

This sweet Honda lost out to the Triumph Speed Triple ten years ago, mostly for a deficit of horsepower. But now that all ten-year old motorcycles are archaic compared to the current crop, we like it even better than we did then. The Honda CBR1000R was light-handling, easy-riding and even nice to look at.

Press launches - the ugly truth. Part 3

Sun, 03 Apr 2011

So with an afternoon of sightseeing completed (a rare luxury on most launches) it's back to the hotel for the press conference. These are you usually long winded, tooth pulling affairs with Japanese technicians insisting on speaking their bestest engrish which only serves to elongate the proceedings. Nothing kills a presentation more than reading every word of a powerpoint slide verbatum, even thought the viewers can read exactly the same words (and probably a lot faster).  The Crossrunner presentation was mercifully brief and snappy followed by dinner in the hotel and a reasonably early night as everyone had already been up for twenty hours.
