2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. NEW: Yoshimura ends cans for Honda CB1000R

LEGENDARY JAPANESE tuning house Yoshimura has designed a series of slip-on performance end cans for Honda’s naked CB1000R.The brand new EEC-approved cans bolt straight onto the bike's exiting pipework and feature a stainless steel end cone and integral lower Yoshimura logoed cat-converter heat shield. Even with the dB-Killer baffle in place peak power is improved, as is mid-range torque with further performance gains available if the baffle is removed.A full race mid-pipe, extracting yet more power is on the way and will be available later in the year. Honda Launches Dream Yuga in India – One of The Cheapest New Honda Motorcycles Worldwide

Honda, the largest (by volume) motorcycle manufacturer in the world has launched one of its least expensive motorcycles. Made specifically for the booming two-wheeler market in India, the 109cc Dream Yuga is set to retail for 44,642 Indian rupees. That price wouldn’t translate directly here in the U.S., but a simple currency conversion at today’s monetary values equates the rupee cost to $830.
