Honda Other description

I"m selling my GB500. I've owned to for well more than a decade and just don't ride it enough. It's in great shape. Very reliable-typical Honda. When I bought it, the original silencer had already been replaced with a supertrapp. I do not have the original. Replaced the turn signals with low profile ones. I also removed the rear fender and replaced it with a short mud guard. I still have the original signals and rear fender- see the photos. Very honest bike, no dents, very minor scratches on tank from clothing-probably can be buffed out. The chrome on the exhaust was starting to pit when I first got the bike so I scotchbrited it and coated it with flat black paint. Even has the original tool kit and both original keys along with owners and factory service manuals. I can help with shipping once you arrange it. I will NOT pack the bike- just don't want to be responsible for any shipping issues. I can deliver it to a freight company-call first to discuss. The bike is also listed locally so I'm reserving the right to end the auction early if it sells before the deadline. Clear Colo title. Please contact me with any questions, Thanks for looking

Top Five Global Motorcycle Companies Ranked

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

- Honda Motor Company Limited - Yamaha Motor Company Limited - Hero MotoCorp Limited - Bajaj Auto Limited - Harley–Davidson Incorporation According to Research And Markets, who bill themselves as “The World’s Largest Market Research Store,” these are the top five companies of the global motorcycle industry, with data collected from 2006 – 2011. The study itself is several chapters deep and must be purchased (you can do so at the link above), but in short, Research And Markets have compiled a study observing the evolving global motorcycle industry, its competitive landscape, and the corporate and marketing strategies adopted by the motorcycle companies as some of the factors to have remarkably impacted the global motorcycle industry dynamics. Developing regions, such as Asia and Latin America, which perceive two-wheelers as a basic mode of transportation, are expected to remain the most promising markets for scooters, light motorcycles, and mopeds.

Thumbs up for a chilly N.E.C.

Apart from the freaky weather I have to say last week’s Carole Nash Motorcycle Live N.E.C. show was the best Birmingham event I've attended in the ten years. I really appreciate the fact that manufacturers chose to ignore the recession giving us great stands to cater for every enthusiast young and old.  Aprilia made a welcome return and I don’t know anyone that didn’t enjoy admiring the WSB RSV4, surely the the most gorgeous bike on the planet? The Honda stand rarely disappoints and this year was no exception with banking bikes providing fun for all the family.

475cc NS400R. Marquez and Spencer.

Winter may be here but I seem to be as busier than ever, maybe the economy is finally turning around. At my last UK track day of the year I had some fun testing this little beauty.  It’s a late eighties NS400 triple bored out to 475cc and it felt sweet as I zinged round the GP Arena track at Silverstone.   Being stripped bare to reduce weight gives it a very respectable power to weight ratio which means it could live with 600s (on the twisty bits at least).
