Honda Other description

Great bike, completely serviced, ready to ride.

This motorcycle is in excellent running condition. It has been treated very well, maintained and stored inside. Engine works without issues. Paint is in overall good condition, all accessories and storage compartments are in excellent condition..the bike has some non-visible scratches and have a small chip on left engine air intake [which most PC's have].  Rear storage seals hermetically and will not leak even in a strong rain. New battery and a fresh oil change.

I purchased 4 years ago and went through the bike thoroughly to ensure it was in top condition.  I personally performed the following services:

Removed all plastics and replaced with newer 1998 plastics
Replaced front brakes
Replaced rear brakes
Took apart Rear drive line, cleaned, greased and reinstalled
Flushed and replaced final drive fluid
Flushed and replaced brake fluid
Flushed and replaced coolant
Replaced spark plugs
Replaced Air filter
Changed Oil and filter with synthetic
Replaced front windshield
Replaced front headlight
Replaced rectifier/regulator
Replaced battery
Added battery tender

I love this bike and have put 5,000 miles on it since I have owned it.  It has been my back-up bike and does not get ridden enough and I have run out of garage space, which is why I am selling it.  I have taken it on 1,000+ mile trips and would drive to California tomorrow with it if I had the vacation time.

Please note the following things:
-The bike runs great.  The engine is strong, it does not burn or leak oil.
-I owned two PC800s and took the nicer plastics off the newer 1998 PC and put them on this bike.  The plastic is in very good condition.  Very little fading and most of the snaps/clips are intact.  The bike was white, now it is Magna Red.  The two minor issues are that there is a missing chip on the side inlet cover [which is common to most PCs I have seen.  I had red tape over it and it was unnoticeable but took it off for the pictures to be upfront and honest] and the front lower right fairing corner is un-reinforced [a small rib on it was gone before I got it].  I have driven for 4 years with the bike this way and had no issues.
-It has a Corbin driver, passenger seat and backrest [over $800 new].  There are two small peels in the seat [as seen in the pictures] which could be repaired, the seat could be recovered or you can keep driving it like I have and ensure that it is stored away from the rain.  I believe I have the original OEM seat in a box but am not sure.
-The lower kickplate is missing in the pictures but was just off the bike at the time.  I have the part and there's nothing wrong with it.
-You will get alot of attention driving this bike.  Every gas stop, someone is coming over to either try and figure out what it is or tell you how they used to have one and loved it.

I will answer questions and send more detailed pictures if requested.
I am willing to ride the bike to you if you're within 100 miles or so.  Please contact me before making an offer to work out those details if that is desired.
Thanks for looking.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300

Sun, 29 Jan 2023

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
