Honda Other tech info
Honda Other description
you are buying the 1985 Honda VF1000R motorcycle seen in pics. if you are looking at this then you know what it is. i bought this a few years ago from a local guy with plans to restore back to original condition. i've also owned a custom ducati 999 along with several other bikes but i just like the lay out, weight and design of this classic beast. i just don't have time to get this started let alone finished with so many other business related projects currently in the mix. it needs to get into the hands of someone with time and energy to get it back on the road. the good part is that it is in running condition with no locked motor or major issues. it would make a great winter project. the bike fires right up and runs pretty well. just put a new battery in it. the lights work as does the turn signals. the mechanics are the strong aspect of it. transmission and gears are fine. the bike was currently inspected when i purchased it. i ran it for a few weeks in the fall until the weather changed and the inspection ran out. i didn't plan to run it again on the road until i got it finished. the primary issue that needs to be addressed for restoration is the cosmetics. the previous owner did a hideous paint job as pictured. the plastics are fair with some wear and a few small cracks on edges. the right brake lever and right aftermarket mirror are damaged. the previous owner said it fell into the wall in the garage but no damage to tank or other parts that i see. the seat has some tears. there were running lights installed for some inexplicable reason. the rear tire will need to be changed. we have 12 pictures to show exact condition and will add a youtube video link shortly. i have the title in hand. the buyer will be responsible for all title costs at the local notary. the sale price is what is going on the bill of sale, not a lesser amount so please don't ask. the bike is available for inspection by appointment. selling as is. there are no warranties, guarantees, or returns. ask questions prior to bidding or purchasing. better yet, come look at it if you are serious. once the title is transferred and the bike leaves my place, you obviously own it. we plan to have the bike for sale locally also, so we reserve the right to pull the listing at any time. local pick up only. no shipping. i have this down at our warehouse facility in johnstown pa 15901, so we can load anything you bring. we starting it at $1499 with no reserve. we figure its worth that just as a running parts bike. payment is due within 7 days. we're not talking about a great deal of money so cash only. no checks. no credit cards. no paypal email with any questions.

2013 Honda CB150R Streetfire Unveiled in Indonesia
Wed, 31 Oct 2012Honda‘s Indonesian affiliate Astra Honda Motor unveiled a new CB150R Streetfire at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show. At this point, the Streetfire is only destined for the Indonesia market as the naked version of the Honda CBR150R (which itself a smaller version of the CBR250R), but it does give us an idea of what a potential CB250R would look like, if Honda decides to produce one. The Honda CB150R Streetfire is powered by the 150cc liquid-cooled engine as the CBR150R.
Honda CBR300R Confirmed for Canada for 2015
Tue, 01 Apr 2014It’s taken a while, but the Honda CBR300R has finally been confirmed for North America, as Honda Canada announced it would be available in the fall as a 2015 model. American Honda has yet to announced whether it would offer the CBR300R, but with today’s announcement of the NM4 and PCX150, we expect the CBR250R replacement will also be coming a a 2015 model. Shunji Yokokawa
Mon, 14 Oct 2013Honda Project Leader Shunji Yokokawa's first Honda bike was a CB900, which he got when he was a teenager after seeing Freddie Spencer wheeling his way down the Laguna's Corkscrew.Yokokawa has been in the States himself recently, having travelled to the Bonneville Salt Flats to break a world land speed record for a stock 600cc motorcycle.According to the Southern California Timing Association website (you'd have thought the video might have mentioned something about the record?), Shunji was successful in his attempt during August's 'Speed Week', setting an official speed of 170.828mph onboard a CBR600RR.
