Honda Other description

1981 Honda 70 Passport with 9,690 original miles.

The top end has been rebuilt by a certified Honda Shop.  They honed the cylinder, replaced the piston and ring and adjusted the valves.

There is a new seat cover on the seat.

All lights work.

If you want the electric start to work, you will need to replace the battery.  Considering this is kick start it is not necessary to replace the battery.  It is also not necessary to replace the battery for the lights to work, as long as you kick start it and the bike is running, the lights work.

I have taken photos of all areas that show things wrong.  On the bottom of the blue front fender there is a crack.  There are also areas of cracks on the front fork leg guards.  This can easily be replaced.

Please bid with confidence.  If you have any questions or would like to take a look at this scooter before bidding, please feel free to email or call Terry @ 814-422-8544.  Please contact me BEFORE bidding if you have a rating of 10 or below, otherwise your bid may be cancelled.

This is a pick up only, no shipping or meeting 1/2 way.

I require a $200.00 deposit at the end of the auction by PayPal with the remainder to be paid in full upon pick up by cash.
M.o. or personal check will also be accepted but I must have 10 days to wait for it to clear, before you take the scooter so if you are paying with a m.o. or check please keep in mind you can not present it the day of pick up, it must be mailed ahead of time.  Scooter must be picked up and paid in full within 10 days of the end of auction.

We reserve the right to end this auction at anytime as this is for sale locally.  Price will not be disclosed if you call, you must SEE locally for local pricing.  Good luck and happy bidding.

Honda Announces 400cc Version of 500-Series Engine

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Honda has revealed a new, smaller-displacement variation of the 470cc parallel-twin engine introduced on its new CBR500, CB500F and CB500X models. The new engine has a bore of 67mm, just like Honda‘s 500-series engine, but a stroke of 56.6mm instead of the longer 66.8mm. The result is an engine displacement of 399cc, which makes the new engine a better fit for markets such as Japan license restrictions are much stricter for engines larger than 400cc.
