Honda Other description

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!

This is a 1979 Honda Z50R Mini Trail 50, VIN 5007205.  We are selling it for a friend who has had it in storage for about 2 years.  It ran when it was parked, but may need to be gone through, he said they sometimes had to push it to start it.  This bike was modified by a former owner with “long travel” suspension front and rear.  Mechanically, everything seems to work – forks, shocks, brakes, shifter, cables, etc.   This bike is very clean for its age.  There is one small dent on the right side of the gas tank but tank is very clean inside and there are no leaks, either from fuel or oil.  Seat cover has apparently had a small repair on the right rear, nothing big.  Seat cover is still very pliable, no cracks. Tires are very decent.  Bike does have spark but no attempt has been made to start it (fuel tank and carb were stored dry) so it is being sold as-is.  It may require nothing more than fresh fuel, or it may need more - we don't know,  he just wants to sell it since he bought a larger bike for his son.  This bike deserves a great home to a young child hankering for his first bike, an old kid wanting to relive his youth, or someone wanting a REALLY cool ORIGINAL pit bike.  Just in time for the holidays!

We try to accurately describe the shortcomings, but look at the photos and ask questions before bidding.  Don’t bid if you intend to negotiate afterward; that is not how eBay works. Owner will provide a Bill of Sale if you would like one, there is no title.

SHIPPING:  Buyers to pay and arrange for shipping and crate, if necessary.  Seller is willing to take bike to Sacramento, CA. for shipping via ForwardAir.com or other carrier of your choice, in Sacramento for $75.00 additional fee to cover our fuel and time.  If you use Forward Air, they require you to supply 4 tie down straps and 2 combination locks.  Please be prepared to provide this or whatever your shipper needs in order to secure your bike.  Since this is a mini-motorcycle, you can actually use Forward Air’s smaller box, which costs less. Buyer can also pick up bike in Grass Valley, CA.  Shipper damage coverage may be additional – check with the carrier you use!  Please email me with any questions.  I accept payment via PayPal – which takes Visa and MC.  A $200 non-refundable deposit must be received in 2 days.  Full payment must be received within 7 days.  Serious inquiries only. Buy with confidence! We have sold many motorcycles over the years on ebay!  Check our ratings and feedbacks - which are in the thousands!   We have been selling on eBay since 1999 and have many happy repeat customers.  We’re always listing lots of items.  Check our listings – talk about variety!  If you win multiple auctions we will combine shipping to save you money.  Please check my other auctions and thanks for looking!

1954 AJS E95 May Fetch Upwards of $750K in August Pebble Beach Auction

Wed, 18 May 2011

This uber rare 1954 AJS E95, aka The Porcupine, may become the most expensive motorcycle in the world. World-famous auction house, Bonhams, has recently announced that it will handle auctioning of an ultra-rare 1954 AJS E95 during the Pebble Beach Car Week held annually in August at the Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel, Calif. Bonhams estimates that due to the rarity of the E95 (only four were completed by British brand AJS) it may see a bid as high as $750,000.

Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.

Results From Day 1 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

Eugene Laverty, aboard his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R1000, led the field today as the first day of World Superbike testing got underway at the Phillip Island circuit in Australia, site of the first race of the 2014 season. Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.
