Wed, 01 Feb 2012

Casey Stoner made his return to the track after missing the first day of the MotoGP pre-season test at Sepang and showed everyone why he deserved the #1 plate. After skipping the first day of the test due to back pain, Stoner was back on the Repsol Honda RC213V and set the top lap time of all riders. Stoner rode 29 laps and set the pace with a lap time of 2:00.895, 0.157 seconds faster than Ben Spies and 0.173 seconds ahead of Jorge Lorenzo.

The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Rossi Wins at Assen, but Lorenzo Is the Hero; Alpinestars Releases Crash Data

The images are horrific, but thanks to groundbreaking protective gear, Lorenzo walked away with only a collarbone fracture and a heck of a tale to tell. Today, Alpinestars released a trace graph analysis of Lorenzo’s spill, thanks to data collected from his TechAir airbag suit.
