This is a 1974 Honda MR50 restored with custom pipe and side covers. The Honda MR50 Elsinore was an off road mini cycle . It was available in the USA only in 1974 and 1975. This bike starts and runs well and shifts thru all gears. These bikes are very rare and cool .The only thing that I know of that is wrong is a throttle cable. It works as it is but if you wanted to replace it they are available still for sale. If you want your kid to have the coolest bike on the block or a great bike to show in the den or Man Cave this is it. Isle of Man TT 2012: TT Zero Results – MotoCzysz Wins 100 mph Bounty

Third time’s a charm. 2010 and 2011 TT Zero winner MotoCzysz, with rider Michael Rutter, finally became the first to average a speed of 100 mph on the Isle of Man‘s 37.733 Mountain Course on an electric motorcycle, capturing the long-sought after 10,000 British pound (US$15,000) bounty. Wearing the #1 plate for winning last year’s TT Zero, Rutter completed the 2012 TT Zero with a time of 21:45.33 for an average speed of 104.056 mph on the new 2012 MotoCzysz E1PC.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

2015 Honda CBR300R Announced for USA

American Honda announced it will offer the CBR300R for the 2015 model year. First unveiled at last fall’s CIMAMotor show in China and also appearing at EICMA in Italy, we were hoping the CBR250R replacement would have arrived in the U.S. earlier in the spring.
