Honda Other tech info
Honda Other description
You read that right only 129 original miles! I know it's sounds crazy, but the original owner only rode it around his local campground on the weekends. The gentleman fell ill and parked the bike in a shed out back in 1974 and thats where it has been this whole time. Even the tool kit had never been out of the pouch until I pulled it for photos. The chrome has rusted over the years but the green body of the bike is absolutely rust free and perfect. The motor is NOT froze and kicks over fine. I even checked the oil and its still exactly where it should be on the dipstick and looks like new (altough I would change it before starting). With some elbow grease and some replacement parts you are just about guaranteed to have the nicest and lowest mileage ST-90 in existence! If you have any questions feel free to ask and if you wish to inspect the bike in person I am available most days. I also have the original key and owners manual.I can work with the winning bidder to get the bike ready for shipping if needed local pickup is also always welcome.

Day 2 Dakar 2014: Sunderland Wins First Special Stage
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Honda won the second day of competition with Team HRC’s Sam Sunderland claiming victory in the first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Sunderland has had a frustrating time at previous Dakars, dropping out after three days of racing in 2012 and withdrawing a month before last year’s event due to fracturing both his wrists. Today, however, Sunderland made a grand entrance into the club of elite riders by brilliantly winning his first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Having started well behind his teammate, Joan Barreda, the 23-year old Brit superbly overtook Michael Metge and Juan Pedrero on the first part of the route.
Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella
Fri, 10 May 2013A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure. He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope. He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat. Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why. Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy. I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.
Honda announced a hardcore version of the Africa Twin
Thu, 09 Mar 2017At the Motodays show in Rome, Honda announced a hardcore version of the Africa Twin, featuring Dakar styling, technical innovations and a price tag that surpasses the exterior of the motorcycle in severity. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.
