This black and silver Honda S90 has 6,988 miles and is in good condition. It’s no speed demon, but it’s an absolute joy to ride in town. The bike does show its wear and age. It has several small dents and some surface rust on the fenders (as shown in the pictures). This bike has been in my garage as a collection piece for the past 7 years with occasional driving and general maintenance. The bike starts with ease with no leaks, Swing arm Electrical Starting Kick-starter Engine, 90cc OHC single cylinder engine fitted to a 4 speed manual clutch transmission, recently new battery and carburetors, all working lights and electric. It is a small rider, 65 mph and 90 mpg easily possible, making this an economical (and beautiful) commuter bike. The bike is located in Indianapolis and we encourage inspections. The criteria considered in the wet test by Motorrad TestCenter have been: steering precision and characteristics, line holding during acceleration, ease of handling, grip at lean angle for front and rear tyres, grip during acceleration, limit range characteristics, feedback at lean angle, braking stability during full braking with ABS.
Classic Japanese Bikes Highlight Bonhams’ Next Auction
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Bonhams’ annual fall auction, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, at Stafford County Showground is scheduled for October 20, 2013. Included in the auction is the above pictured 1974 Kawasaki H1-RW 500cc triple. Expected to sell for approximately $96,000 to $112,000, the Japanese works Grand Prix racer is one of only two machines built by the factory for the French Kawasaki importer SIDEMM for use in the 500cc World Championship. The bikes were ridden during the 1974 season by the French endurance racing specialist Christian Léon and French-Canadian Formula 750 star Yvon Duhamel.
Frog eBike – the Electric Successor to 1985 Frog FZ750 Concept
Tue, 03 Apr 2012San Francisco-based Frog Design released images of a new electric motorcycle concept, just as its influential Yamaha FZ750-based Rana concept gets enshrined at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Frog designer Jin Soek Hwang prepared the Frog eBike concept as an expression of how electric motor technology can influence motorcycle design. In a post on Frog’s blog, the designer says he was inspired in part by Frog’s 1985 FZ750 Rana concept (pictured after the jump).
