The 747cc DOHC inline four-cylinder engine produces impressive horsepower over a broad rpm-range, while the 16-valve cylinder head allows excellent combustion efficiency and optimum horsepower. A hydraulic valve-lash adjuster system makes valve adjustments a thing of the past. The automatic cam-chain tensioner is maintenance-free, as is the solid-state ignition system.
