Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Swingarm Chopper Evo 1988. 96 Motor. Bobber (1988)
You are looking at my current daily driver. It began life as a 1988 harley sportster 883. I purchased it from a friend in non working condition. After a little diagnostic work, it became apparent to me that it needed an engine rebuild. In the time I was taking to decide if I was going to tackle such a project as an engine rebuild a recently complete never been run rebuilt 1996 top breather 1200 motor became for sale at the local harley shop. I jumped on it. (Maybe a little to fast) as I didn't realize that it wouldn't be plug and play.2013-10-22 00:55:09Raleigh, North Carolina, US2,000660.00

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride
Fri, 03 Nov 2023A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300
Sun, 29 Jan 2023By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
