Honda Gold Wing description

2006 Audio/Comfort/Nav Goldwing

Dallas/Fort Worth area.

This is the bike to have if you love a good road trip and your significant other loves to ride in comfort with you. Don't let the miles fool you... this bike is barely broken in, and garage stored in Dallas/Fort Worth.

GL1800's often go to 300,000+ miles with no significant issues. This bike has ridden all around Texas, but has also been to Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, California, etc., with no mechanical issues. Overall... I've put @ 30,000 care free miles on her, with no maintenance issues, and I know she's ready for many more memories and miles.

Now... this is certainly the ultimate road-trip bike, just set the cruise and go. However, it's also a great way to save gas on your daily commute to work too. Don't worry if it gets a bit chilly... the full fairing, heated grips, and heated seat will help you there, and it will be nice as you grab your hot cup of coffee from the cup-holder... if it's summer, then no worries, just crack open the vent in the windshield, and open up the Baker Hand Wings under the mirrors for a nice flow of air... then grab your ice cold drink from your cup-holder. :)

This is a 2006 so it has the upgraded frame, upgraded Audio package (amp and speakers), as well as having heated seat and grips and a Garmin navigation package all built in. I've also upgraded the suspension on this bike so it corners wonderfully. Lot's more power and agility than you think with this bike... it's not your Dad's Goldwing. :)

The color on this bike is super sharp... with some nice powder-coated accents, a few chrome upgrades, as well as a tasteful light package so that folks can see you at night. Will need a new front tire within the next 1000 miles, but I'm throwing in a set of front and rear powder-coated wheels and the tires on those have tons of life on them. I'm only selling because I just bought a 2014 GL1800. See description for all the details, as well as the pics and video. Bike is sold as-is with a clear Texas Title.

Be sure to check out the video link below to hear it start and for a nice walk-around.

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.

2013 AMA Supercross Anaheim 2 Race Report

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Ryan Villopoto claimed his first win of the 2013 AMA Supercross season and his first since the knee injury at last year’s Seattle round that kept him out of the 2012 AMA Motocross championship. The victory in front of 37,789 fans at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., made up for his disappointing 16th place finish two weeks earlier at the same site. His Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate Jake Weimer held the early advantage in the main event, taking the holeshot ahead of the Honda Muscle Milk duo of Justin Barcia and Trey Canard.
