Honda Gold Wing description

Well maintained bike with 52,700 miles. Meticulous service records kept on file. Bike just had factory brake recall service performed, a fresh oil change, new front fork seal, new battery, and two new premium tires. Too many extras to list, but including extra chrome, premium vented windshield, fog lights, air wings, CB radio and intercom system, Sena SMH10 wireless Bluetooth intercom system, 6-disc CD player, Sirius satellite radio, LED flashing safety lights, engine guards, highway pegs, back rest, passenger arm rests, cup holders, luggage rack, trunk lid vanity and storage pouch, bike cover, trailer hitch, and custom Time-Out trailer with chrome luggage rack, leather wrapped ice box, and LED flashing brake light. My wife and I drove it through the Smokey Mountains last summer, as seen in a couple of the photos, and I would take off on it to Alaska today without reservation. It is ready to ride, and I am aware of no mechanical or operational issues. I think you would be hard pressed to find a 2003 in better condition. The KBB mileage allowance is 65,000 miles, so this one is low mileage. The KBB price just for the base factory model bike (without thousands of dollars in add-ons) is over $9400. The trailer is a 2005 Time Out XL1800. A new one with all the custom options this one has would cost you nearly $5,000, so I think my BIN price is fair. Make a serious offer if you want it, because I do not plan to relist it.

My phone number is visible in one of the photos on the for sale sign. Enlarge to view. I have this bike advertised elsewhere and reserve the right to end this listing without warning. Winning bidder will be required to make a $500 non-refundable Paypal deposit within 48 hours. The balance to be paid upon delivery in cash within 7 days of auction closing. Bike is located about 45 minutes from the New Orleans airport and I can meet buyer at airport, if necessary, for delivery. As you can see above, I have a perfect 100% buyer/seller rating on nearly 500 transactions, so you can have confidence that I will deal honestly with you.

NOT INCLUDED but negotiable, I also have two Arai high performance hi-viz helmets (Sizes XL and L) that are already fitted with the Sena SMH10 wireless earphones and microphones with clip on Bluetooth receivers (seen in a few of the pics). I also have a set of his and hers high-quality riding gear (jackets, pants, boots, and gloves) that can be included with a negotiated price. If interested in these items then message me and I will send pics and info on the sizes.

CARB Certifies 2015 Honda NC700X – Still No 750 Engine in Sight

Tue, 07 Oct 2014

American consumers hoping Honda would replace its NC700X with the larger-displacement NC750X will be disappointed to know they might have to wait until the 2016 model year to get the 75cc engine upgrade. The California Air Resources Board has granted an executive for the 2015 Honda NC700X, certifying the motorcycle for sale in the state with the same 670cc engine displacement it had since being introduced in the 2012 model year. Now, this doesn’t mean Honda won’t decide to certify the 745cc engine after all; manufacturers resubmit and recertify models all the time, often replacing models are adding additional model using the same engine.

Hot on-board laps of Cadwell with Josh Brookes

Thu, 30 Sep 2010

You've got to be reasonably mental to ride a 200bhp Superbike on slicks around the narrow cart track that is Cadwell Park. We've met Josh Brookes a few times and we can vouch that he qualifies highly for the task in hand. That's a compliment, by the way.

Recall for 2008-2010 Honda ST1300

Mon, 18 Jul 2011

Honda is recalling certain 2009-2010 ST1300 sport touring motorcycles due to a risk of a brake fluid leakage. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the pre-formed hose supplying fluid from the rear brake reservoir to the rear brake master cylinder is routed in a way that puts it at risk of damage. When the Honda ST1300 is heavily loaded and ridden over rough surfaces, the rear suspension may bottom out, causing the hose to contact the swingarm.
