1985 Honda Gold wing, 1985 Gold Wing The Mule - Honda offered three models of Gold Wing in 1985: the Limited Edition, the Interstate and the Aspencade. The Interstate was the most basic model. The Aspencade was the luxury model, while the Limited Edition came with a few extra touches like removable soft luggage and a Type III intercom with four speakers. The Interstate came in metallic silver or blue, or wineberry red. The Aspencade came in vintage red, metallic blue or beige and the Limited Edition was available only in two-tone metallic gold. Body The 1985 Aspencade had a double-cradle chassis with a fuel gauge, coolant temperature meter, tachometer and speedometer. Turn signals shut themselves off, and the headlights and position lights were rectangular modular quartz halogens. The Limited Edition also came with a double-cradle frame. It offered air-assisted rear shocks, an easier center stand, an under-seat fuel tank and aluminum alloy wheels. The Interstate had full instrumentation meters, a color-coordinated travel trunk and matching saddlebags and a four-way emergency flasher. Gold Wings are known for being heavy bikes, and the 1985 models were no exception, with a dry weight hovering at around 750 lbs. Seat height for the 1985 Gold Wing was 30.7 inches and wheelbase was 63.4 inches. Engine The 1985 Gold Wing models were liquid cooled rather than air cooled. The standard engine was a 1182-cc, four-cylinder engine with a horizontally-opposed overhead cam, two valves per cylinder. Compression ratio was 9:1, with a bore and stroke of 3 by 2.6 inches. Horsepower was 94 at 7,000 rpm, and maximum torque was 77.4 foot-pounds at 5,500 rpm. All 1985 Gold Wings were matched with a five-speed transmission. Mackenzie Tricker Looks To Pad WMX Points Lead At Glen Helen Raceway Sunday

Having won the opening two rounds of the 2014 Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) – at the AMA sanctioned Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship in Wortham, Texas, Australia’s Mackenzie Tricker comes into this weekend’s race at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, with momentum on her side and a 17-point lead in the series standings. Round three of the Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) will run in conjunction with the FMF California Classic, which runs from April 9 through April 13, with both WMX motos taking place on Sunday. So far, Tricker has won three of the four motos held to date, and the Yamaha-backed rider is hoping to pad her lead in the series standings with a good finish this weekend.

Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
