The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Ask any racer what corners they would choose for their perfect track and the long swooping left that makes up the final corner of Phillip Island would appear on quite a few designs. Here the Honda World Superbike riders Jonathan Rea and Hiroshi Aoyama, along with technician Chris Pike and Pirelli's Giorgio Barbier detail the classic corner from the Australian track.

James Bond’s Honda CRF450R from Skyfall Raises $162,000 for Charity

The modified Honda CRF450R ridden by Daniel Craig in the James Bond film “Skyfall” was sold at auction, raising 101,400 British pounds (US$162,440) for charity. Featured in the opening chase scene of “Skyfall”, the heavily modified Honda CRF450R received 67 bids from 40 potential suitors by the time the auction ended Nov. 22.
