Honda Gold Wing description

Listed for auction is our 1980 GL1100 Goldwing. This is a project bike that is 95% complete. We are selling due to ongoing projects. The following items have been upgraded: New Sunburst Orange Metallic Paint, new tires, new battery, new timing belts, new chrome timing belt cover, new chrome headlight bucket, reupholstered seat, new handlebar grips, replaced speedometer/tachometer/clutch cables, carbs have been cleaned and have new O-rings and seals (synchronized but will need additional tuning). This bike starts easily and runs. The engine cylinders have between 160-165 psi compression on all cylinders. Chrome on the motorcycle is in very good condition except for pitting on lower sections of the front shocks as pointed out in pictures. The bike will need turn signals, and the left rear exhaust tip is slightly bent. The odometer shows 731 miles and are not the actual miles on the motorcycle. This is a beautiful bike that turns heads. This vehicle is being sold "AS IS" without warranty, so please study the pictures carefully and ask any questions before bidding. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements.

2014 WSBK – Misano Results

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes won both races at Misano to stretch his championship lead to 39 points as we pass the halfway mark of the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The reigning champion scored his third double-win round of the season while his teammate Loris Baz added a pair of second-place finishes. David Salom on the Kawasaki’s factory EVO entry was also the top rider in the new sub-class for both races to top off a strong weekend for the Team Green.

Honda Announces CBR400R, CB400F and 400X for Japan

Tue, 12 Mar 2013

Honda confirmed it will produce a 399cc version of its new 500-series motorcycles for the Japanese market. The Honda CBR400R, CB400F and 400X will be offered in Japan instead of their respective 500 versions, as they are a better fit to the country’s tiered licensing system than the CBR500R, CB500F and CB500X. The new 400 models should come as no surprise after Honda announced in February it would produce a smaller version of the 471cc engine used in the 500 series.

Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.
