1983 HONDA TRAIL 110 CT110 in its classic form is a 105cc 4-stroke air-cooled single cylinder engine with a four-speed transmission and an automatic clutch. That coupled with a roughly 2:1 ratio gear reduction box known as the dual range subtransmission which switched into operation using a small lever under the transmission case and allowed the CT to climb steep slopes with no difficulty. The cylinder is nearly horizontal in the step-through tube/stamping frame. The CT110's clutchless four speed transmission (centrifugal clutch) does not require a clutch lever, contributing to it's reputation for extreme reliability, economy and ease of operation. The original Honda Trail 110's have a faithful following for a reason. Here is your chance to own one of these renowned machines! HAS A VERY MINOR OIL LEAK NEAR THE FRONT SPROCKET (ONE TO TWO DROPS AFTER ITS BEEN RIDDEN AND THE OIL IS HOT) EXHAUST HAS SOME SURFACE RUST, BUT IS VERY SOLID, NOT DETERIORATED, NO SOFT SPOTS. Located in Hendersonville, North Carolina, the second annual event is a combination of race machines, crazy customs, hot rods, exotic motorcycles and cars, V-Twins and race bikes, street and off-road machines. Jeremy Burgess Out and Silvano Galbusera In as Valentino Rossi’s Crew Chief
Mon, 11 Nov 2013Valentino Rossi has parted ways with longtime crew chief Jeremey Burgess, ending a partnership that extended across 14 years and three different manufacturers while capturing seven MotoGP and 500cc Grand Prix World Championships. Burgess will be replaced by Louis CK lookalike Silvano Galbusera, a veteran crew chief and mechanic whose most extensive experience comes from World Superbike and Supersport racing. As crew chief and/or technical director, Galbusera has worked with an impressive roster of riders including Troy Corser, Noriyuki Haga, Cal Crutchlow and Ben Spies.
Hero MotoCorp Forms Joint Venture with Magneti Marelli
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Indian manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is teaming up with electronic fuel injection expert Magneti Marelli in a new joint venture. Hero will hold a 60% share in the company with Magenti Marelli controlling the other 40%. The two companies are initially investing a combined US$8.5 million into the joint venture, with a planned investment of US$27 million total over the next ten years.
